Its almost summer time and all your flowers are
growing, but theres also a growing problem, weeds!
Today I will show you 5 easy life hacks to get rid of
those weeds!
Weed Hack #1 “The Old Fashion Way”
This first hack is the most simple and easiest one in that
all you need is a metal stick/blade. Here you can see I am using
a 50 cent tent stake and simply rotating it around the weed’s roots
removes the weed and prevents it from growing again. It is important
to make sure you get all of its roots, or else the weeds will spread
further.
Weed Hack #2 “Vinegar Control”
For this next hack all you need is household vinegar.
Simply pour the vinegar into any sort of squirt bottle
and aim at the weeds. If you don’t have a spray bottle,
a water bottle with a punched hole will work too.
Weed Hack #3 “Hot Water”
Yes, you heard me right. Regular boiling water will scold
and shrivel up those weeds slowing down the growth in your
area. Simply fill a mug and microwave for just over a minute.
Any means of boiling water will work, then just pour over top of
any weeds growing.
Weed Hack #4 “Playing With Fire”
This is my favourite weed hack in that all you need is fire,
which in my case is a nice hot blow torch. This eliminates the
weed problem instantly and kills the crop in seconds. Another
benefit is that this method can attack between cracks which is
something the old fashion weed hack could not.
Weed Hack #5 “Salt Water”
Start off by grabbing a jar or container and make a
super saturated solution. This kills the weeds over several hours
and is a much more environmentally friendly alternative.
Just pour over top and watch them vanish!
